Michael Douglas Has Stage 4 Throat Cancer

Guesting at The David Letterman Show on Tuesday evening, hollywood actor Michael Douglas admitted that he is suffering from stage 4 throat cancer. His diagnosis came earlier in the summer after seeing several doctors due to a persistent sore throat.

Michael Douglas admitted that throat cancer is the kind you get from drinking and alcohol and he said he did both smoking and drinking. Also, Mr. Douglas said that he had already completed the first week of an eight-week chemotherapy regimen.

Despite the cancer being stage 4, Michael Douglas (age 65) is optimistic that he will recover from it: "The big thing you're always worried about is it spreading, so I am head and neck. I am above the neck, so nothing's gone down, and the expectations are good."

Michael Douglas is married to Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones and they have 2 children.
