Anna Nicole Smith – still in the news
It's been three years since Anna Nicole Smith died from a drug overdose, yet the trial of her boyfriend and psychiatrist continues. Though they were not charged in the drug overdose that caused her death, they have been charged with along with Dr. Sandeep Kapoor of supplying the Hollywood star with drugs and opiates.
During recent testimony her bodyguard reports that Howard Stern, Smith's boyfriend, would put drugs in her mouth when she was too tired to take them herself. The bodyguard also said that he didn't think Stern was forcing the drugs on the star, that he was just helping her take them.
The bodyguard also gave testimony that Smith's psychiatrist arranged to have drugs delivered from the U.S., yet, when she was at the house with Smith Dr. Khristine Eroshevich tried to hide the drugs so Smith couldn't get them.
Brighthaupt, who was one of the last people to see Smith alive, testified that both Eroshevich and Stern injected Smith with substances, but he didn't know if she was given B-12 shots or drugs.
